Consultations on the interpretation of the Agreement

The Committee may respond to consultations on the interpretation of the Agreement submitted to it by a Party, through its designated focal point, or by an elected representative of the public.

Queries for interpretation shall formulate precisely the specific questions on which the Committee's opinion is sought, specifying the provisions of the Agreement whose interpretation is sought and the considerations giving rise to the query, and shall be sent in writing to the Secretariat, preferably by e-mail to secretaria.escazu@cepal.org.

Once a consultation has been received, the Committee shall transmit a copy of the consultation to all Parties and to the elected representatives of the public, and it shall be published in this section.
