FAQs

1What is the minimum connection speed required to complete the form?

The website and the form have been tested with 3G mobile connections, which estimate a minimum data transmission speed of:

  1. Data download: 400 kbit/s
  2. Data upload: 400 kbit/s
  3. Latency: 2000ms

This speed is considered sufficient for sending information, however, for sending files larger than 2MB it could be difficult. The form manages the file upload independently from the data input so that an upload does not interrupt the process.

2What is the maximum number of files and how large are they?

The number of files is limited by the needs of each section, where a document type is requested, and in all cases it is possible to upload its translation if necessary. For uploading proofs in Section 3, the current limit for the number of files is 10, with a maximum of 500MB each. If other file types are required, please contact the Secretary at secretaria.escazu@cepal.org

3 Is it possible to download the form and complete it offline?

At this time it is not possible to download the form for offline completion. The form is designed to ensure data privacy, and among the security measures implemented it is complex to ensure the same with an offline method.

4What accessibility standards does the Communications submission form meet?

The current implementation of the form complies with Level A accessibility standards according to the level of conformity established by the W3C.

55. What security levels does it have?

In the aspect of security there are different levels of action. In terms of implementation, transmission, connectivity and storage, international standards validated by different organizations, including the United Nations, are applied.

6Where is the data hosted?

Data is hosted on CEPAL's secure servers at the time a Communication is sent.
